Nonnie dolls, brought to life by Chhattisgarh Hastshilp Vikas Board, are made by incredibly talented tribal women in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh. They are made of Sabai Grass, a local plant that grows naturally, giving sustainable yarn which is extracted and used for household products. The dolls are dressed in the Baiga tribe's special cotton weave- bright and colorful, with the trademark checks and stripes. Karuna Chhattisgarh represents our beautiful symbiotic relationship with mother nature and the value inherent in embracing our civilization's roots.
